Reinforcing innovative textile circularity
in the regions of Europe
Within the framework of the European Green Deal, RegioGreenTex is a project that promotes research and development collaboration for the textile industry to establish a systematic circular economy business model throughout the EU.

MAP OF NEEDS. Map the needs and potentialities in the implementation of a circular economy between the European regions and clusters and their different level of economic development.
BUILD AN ECOSYSTEM. Build a dynamic recycling textile ecosystem at a European level, making demand and supply meet on a shared digital platform.
support to SMEs. Support SME pilot projects to accelerate the creation, development and use of new textile materials with higher recycled content by sharing technologies and methodologies.
CREATE CENTERS. Create five regional textile recycling centers in line with the ReHubs initiative and in coherence with the EU textile strategy and with the needs of SMEs.
GENERATE INVESTMENT. RegioGreenTex ultimately intends to generate investment opportunities on a regional scale beyond the project.

RegioGreenTex promotes collaboration in research and development between 43 partners from the four main sectors of society – industry, government, research institutes and the public sector – for the textile industry. The partners come from 11 regions of 8 European countries.
